Johno

Graffiti, digital art, and a life shaped by the studio, the street, and the screen.

Editorial reconstruction · Berlin, circa 2000

Johno is a graffiti and digital artist with roots in fine-art study, early computer graphics, and New York’s underground club culture.

He studied at Ringling College of Art and Design in the 1990s, working with computer graphics as part of his education. Back in New York, he was known in the rave scene as Raver X. Nights in the clubs and connections to the city’s graffiti and tagging culture became part of his life beyond art school.

His travels later took him to Germany and Prague in the years following the fall of the Berlin Wall. There, he met artists in the graffiti movement, expanding his connections beyond New York. Later digital projects continued his involvement with computer-based art.

Johno’s background brings together the art-school studio, the street, and the screen. Trigonal introduces the artist through that history, with the work at the center.
